Please take time to look at and remember those who have died in our Parish. To help us make this record more accurate in the future you could send in exact dates to the office where you know them.

This weekend

2nd COLLECTION  for the Catholic Education Service

CAFOD & ASSIST monthly retiring collection is after all Masses this weekend.  All money in a CAFOD envelope goes to CAFOD.  All loose cash goes to ASSIST. If you wish to Gift Aid ASSIST, please use a white Gift Aid envelope. Both envelopes at the back of church.

LITTLE FISHES Liturgy Group for 0-4 year olds is held this Sunday at 9.30am Mass. For more details, contact Magda on 2494 304.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY takes place at the 9.30 Mass. COFFEE after this Mass.

FAIRTRADE STALL is between the Sunday morning Masses in the Parish Centre

BAPTISMS AND MARRIAGES are by appointment. We welcome Peter Hewson, who is baptised this Sunday, into the Family of God and Church of Christ.

Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament will be celebrated this Sunday, at 4pm.

APOSTLESHIP OF PRAYER leaflets for February are available to take home.

DEVOTIONAL BOOKLETS for February are on sale in the foyer.

HALLAM DIOCESAN YEAR BOOK for 2011 is on sale in the porch at £3.

CAFOD 50th ANNIVERSARY MASS

Singing/ Instrumental Practice this Sunday 5pm in church. Everyone is invited to come & help with the music for this important event.

Young People in secondary school, are invited to take a particular role in the Mass. Rehearsal in church this Sunday 2 – 4pm. Email hallam@cafod.org.uk

CONFIRMATION – for children currently in Y7/8 or above will be Saturday October 20th. Please take a form available from the foyer and come to a meeting this Sunday for children and parents at 8pm. in the Garden Room.

MORNING PRAYER from the Divine Office is recited ¼ hour before daily Mass.

CAFOD 50th ANNIVERSARY MASSThursday February 9th at 7pm

at St William’s Church Our parish is hosting the Diocesan Mass celebrating 50 years of CAFOD. Bishop John Arnold, Chair of CAFOD, and Bishop John Rawsthorne will be leading. Refreshments & exhibition afterwards in the parish centre.

Refreshments –We need people to bring along buns, savouries etc, if you can bring something, please sign up on the list on the CAFOD board in the foyer.

Altar Servers – If you could serve please let Fr Brian, John or Lesley know.

ADORATION in the Garden Room Friday from 2 – 8pm

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (Confession) is  Saturday from 12.30 - 1.00pm.

CARERS &TODDLERS will meet this week on Tuesday in the Centre at 10am.

BROWNIES, GUIDES and RAINBOWS as usual this week.

ST WILLIAM’S SOUP RUN is on Thursday this week.  Any queries-2667437. (9th)

Next Weekend

THE MONTHLY YOUTH MASS will be celebrated next Saturday at 6.30pm.  Please meet in the York Room at 5.30pm for preparation as usual.  All our young people welcome.
